The short answer

At Shinel Studios, one YouTube Short or Instagram Reel costs ₹449 for a basic edit (cuts and captions), ₹599 for a standard edit (hook, zooms, sound effects) and ₹999 for a premium edit with motion graphics. Those are New Creator prices for channels not yet monetized; a monetized channel pays our standard rate (a basic Short is ₹569). On a monthly Shorts plan the price drops to ₹275–₹300 a Short.

For the wider market, our video editing cost guide puts Shorts from established independent freelancers at roughly ₹300–₹1,000 each. Marketplace prices can be lower; the trade-off is usually your own time spent on revisions.

What changes the price of a Short

  1. Edit level. Captions-only is quick; motion graphics and sound design take hours.
  2. Source footage. Cutting a Short from a long video you already have is faster than building one from scattered phone clips.
  3. Volume. Ten Shorts a month can be batched; one at a time cannot.
  4. Turnaround. Rush delivery in 24 hours adds 25% on our rate card, and you should expect a premium anywhere.
  5. Captions language. Hinglish or Hindi captions need someone who reads both scripts properly.
