A local directory for a town Google barely had
Shops visited in person, photographed and written up - 41 indexed pages with place-level structured data, for a town that had almost no web presence.

Build facts, not traffic claims. The directory is still filling out - a large backlog of shop pages is written but not yet published. Figures read from the live portfolio on 25 September 2026; view counts move.
The brief.
Small-town businesses are close to invisible online - no site, a half-finished Google listing, and a phone number that circulates on WhatsApp. A directory only helps if the entries are real, so every shop on it was visited and photographed rather than scraped.
That constraint shapes the build: it has to publish quickly, stay fast on a weak mobile connection, and be genuinely crawlable.
What we did.
- Static-first build so pages load fast on rural mobile data
- A page per shop, from in-person visits and photography
- Place and organisation structured data so listings can surface in local search
- Wedding-card pages with a link per guest
- Build-time SEO and schema checks that block a broken deploy
